On your next visit to Florence, preparing for and organizing all the information about your museum visits can be overwhelming. Let us give you all the information you need to make your experience enjoyable and easy. The main museums we will be focusing on are the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, and the Duomo Cathedral.

 

Here is what to expect: 

 

Uffizi Gallery

Botticelli, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Caravaggio… the Uffizi Gallery holds masterpieces by all of them. Set in the heart of Florence, this world-famous museum takes you through the highlights of the Italian Renaissance. From the graceful lines of The Birth of Venus to the expressive face of Caravaggio’s painting. Whether you're an art lover or simply curious, the Uffizi is an iconic museum not to be missed.

 

To visit the Uffizi Gallery, keep in mind the visit hours are as follows:

  • Monday: closed
  • Wednesday to Sunday: 8:15am to 6:30 pm
  • Tuesdays: 8:15am to 10:00 pm (on Tuesdays, closing operations start at 9:30 pm)

 

The price of entry with Accord is as follows: 

  • Audio app and skip-the-line ticket is €39.60. Children are €22
  • With an escorted audio tour, it is 59€. Children are €29.50

 

Accademia Gallery

The Accademia Gallery holds some of the most famous pieces in the world, most notably Michelangelo’s iconic sculpture, David. Primarily from the 1300-1500 period, the museum houses many beautiful paintings and sculptures. The Gallery is about a 10-15 minute walk from the city center, making it easily accessible to visitors and a must-see if you are in the city of Florence.

 

Visiting advice: Reservations are highly recommended; if you do not have a reservation, the wait for access may be extended.



To visit the Academia Gallery, the hours are as follows:

  • Monday: closed
  • Tuesday to Sunday: 8:15 am to 6:50 pm (last admission is at 6:20 pm).
  • Special evening openings: from 3 June 2025 to 22 July 2025, every Tuesday the museum will be open until 10 pm (last admission is at 9:15 pm)
  • Free admission days: 25 April 2025, 2 June 2025, 4 November 2025, and every first Sunday of the month in 2025. 
  • On these days, the booking service is not active (it will be sufficient to wait your turn at the entrance gate).

 

The prices are as follows: 

  • Audio app and skip the line ticket, it is €29. Children are €16.74
  • With escorted audio tour, it is €45. Children are €25

 

The museum's closing procedures begin 10 minutes before closing time; therefore, access to the ground floor, musical instrument rooms, and the first-floor exhibition rooms is forbidden from 6:40 pm.

 

 

Duomo Cathedral

The Duomo is one of the most important, beautiful, and famous sights in all of Italy, let alone Florence. Inside the Duomo, there are many things to do and see, such as the cathedral, the museum, and the bell tower. Every part of the Duomo is like nothing else you’ll ever see, but today we will focus on the museum portion. 

 

To visit the Duomo, keep in mind the visit hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Sunday: 8:30 am to 7:30 pm
  • 1st Tuesday of the month: closed 

 

The prices are as follows: 

  • Audio app and skip the line ticket from is €68. Children are the same
  • With escorted audio Brunelleschi’s dome is €89. Children are the same.
  • With escorted audio cathedral is €29. Children are €14.50

 

Keep in mind that to enter the Duomo, appropriate clothing is required. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and proper shoes must be worn. It is also important to note that there is no lift in the Duomo, so people with disabilities may not be able to attend.
